Holiday Treats from East to West

While December is typically marked with elaborate holiday events and family gatherings, we are looking forward to finding new and intimate ways to celebrate this year at home. We are thrilled to introduce to you some of our dear friends and bakers, that we have had the pleasure of working with over the years. Read below for ideas and inspiration to add some sweetness to the season.

Confectious Pastry Shop

Confectious Pastry Shop has been Nicci Julian’s passion since she can remember (as a young child, she chose to watch the Food Network instead of cartoons!) It wasn’t until she left Culinary School and attended Chapman University to get a degree in Business Administration, that she chose to create a name and make it a business.

Stay tuned for details on our upcoming Instagram live with Nicci.

Nicci’s favorite holiday tradition:

Making gingerbread houses with friends and family, and recently making a holiday cookie decorating station for her nephew and niece.

Nicci’s favorite holiday recipe:

Her most popular holiday treat is her Famous Almond Sugar Cookies. Her personal favorites are yule log cakes, reindeer cupcakes, and boozy infused cupcakes.

Mini Melanie

Mini Melanie is a dessert business, shipping delicious treats nationwide, and specializing in custom work for special events. After working in some of the top NYC restaurants, Melanie Moss decided to set off on her own and start a business. In 2018 she became a champion on Food Network’s Chopped, and this coming February she will compete against Bobby Flay in Beat Bobby Flay (stay tuned for air dates by signing up for her newsletter!)

In the meantime, join us on December 14th (3:15EST/6:15PST) as we go live on Instagram and talk all things kitchen, virtual baking classes, and Melanie’s time on Chopped!

Melanie’s favorite holiday tradition:

Getting in the kitchen with her two sisters and her mom (one of her sisters is her business partner!)

Melanie’s favorite holiday recipe:

Chocolate cake!

Amanda Wilens

Amanda loves bringing people together over food, celebrations, and having a good time. She came up with Plan, Plate, Celebrate as her cornerstone purpose behind her brand, as a way to express how she wants to help others. She can help you Plan your own events- whether you are looking for recipes, DIYs, or table-scape inspiration. Plate– to inspire you with recipes, styling, and setting your tables. And Celebrate– the most important part! Whether it’s a small intimate dinner for two or a large holiday celebration, she wants to help you celebrate!

Amanda will be hanging out with us on Instagram live in the new year- check out our Instagram for details to come!

Amanda’s favorite holiday tradition:

Baking and cooking with her mom in the kitchen, then sitting around the table to enjoy a good meal with the whole family. Of course, then following dinner with eating cookies while watching holiday movies! Since she celebrates both Hanukkah and Christmas, her other favorite tradition is lighting the menorah with her family and making/eating far too many latkes.

Amanda’s favorite holiday recipe:

Her molasses cookies– filled with lots of spice and perfectly chewy!

Whether it’s a small holiday celebration, a virtual birthday, or an intimate elopement, let us create an event to inspire and surprise you.

Wishing you a warm holiday, from our kitchens to yours!
